So of course, I had to comment on the iPad…
Michael got his iPad delivered today.
Ana had the honors of opening it.
… and I got the chance to play around.
My initial thoughts: It really is a huge iPhone or iPod.
However, I really did enjoy the experience of using it. The touchscreen keyboard was acceptable and of course navigating had the same features that I love about my iPod Touch.
I still do not see myself using it yet because of the lack of flash of course. Also, like everything else Apple, I don’t think waiting until 2nd generation is a bad idea at all.
I was curious of how I would actually use it so I did these screen shots.
I would prefer seeing videos if I had access to wifi on my lap… Well, besides reading of course. I do love how Netflix made it known immediately that there was “an app for that.”
and I enjoyed the streaming ability:
By the way Pandora has an app that was introduced today also (as an avid user of pandora I am happy this is available).
Do you own one? Do you love it? Tell me your thoughts!
By the way, if you haven’t yet: join my fan page on facebook, since I don’t add users that I haven’t met to my personal account. I’m spotlighting some fans and their websites in the next post if you’re listed.

Tweet Tweet!
I suppose that birds tweet… after all they do on Twitter (a site for “Micro-blogging, RSS, updates”)
Twitter has became very popular among my friends lately so it deserved a post. Although it had been around for awhile. I feel like it was almost like Facebook in a sense when it Facebook came popular when it was finally noticed by large groups of people in social networks (you can find a list of most social networks by going to that url).
I use a great deal of social networks (yes almost scary to know that I am everywhere online but I’ve been avidly using the internet for years). I am on geni, deviantArt, myspace, Facebook, spock, virb, hi5, humblevoice, Linkedin, vox… just to name a few. My interest in them fluctuate because I usually study the way to maximize traffic on all these sites. I signed up for myspace possibly around 1999 or 2000 or was it 2002? But I wasn’t interested in anything else but breaking the code. I probably changed the layout seasonally or once a year and directed it to my main domain.
I never got into friendster but I signed up anyway [profile]. It was popular before Facebook. I also had xuqa (who ended up using my photo because it was getting lots of hits…) I realized popularity came with next to revealing photos. I also tried zorpia, which was as disappointing as xuqa. Xuqa is actually now focused on Poker games (My Profile).
Xanga was interesting and I bounced back and forth for years I think I had an account since 2003 or 2004. I am not sure how I got into it. [My xanga - you have to be a friend to read]
Hi5 was interesting to me because I found most if my friends from my country on there. Hi5 seems to be more “Popular in Angola, Portugal, Cyprus, Romania, Thailand, Central Africa and Latin America.”
I recently joined LiveMocha, in hopes to become fluent en Français.
Currently I am tweeting because I have an app. What’s an app? [read here]. I currently use twitterific on my iPod Touch. It is almost mindless to update and it syncs most of the networks that I am on so my friends and family will always know what is going on in my life. I have twitter on my blog , updating my Facebook status (which was the only thing I do there besides upload photos) and keeping up with my friend’s or colleague’s lives.
Mind you there are a lot of things that I’d not try. I still won’t get an iPhone hehe (bad enough I don’t own a mac as a designer – shock! – You guys are going to have a fieldday with this!)
