I got up at 6 am. I was in the office by the time I usually get up. I also had no coffee (haven’t had coffee for 2 weeks).
Our volunteer day took place at the visions vacation camp for the blind. They are actually hiring for the summer so if you’d like to apply you can download forms for employment on their site.
We painted the mural today. Yesterday Rigel and I did the preliminary sketch and today our amazing team colored the illustration.

It was an amazing team effort!

Summarized Weekly
I woke up one day this week and decided to give myself a haircut. It doesn’t look that different. I’ve never gotten it done professionally since my sophomore year of college but I didn’t want to pay to get it done. So voilà, photos.
I’ve also been making some plans about my life in the span of the upcoming weeks (yay!), realized that I am way too nice sometimes and need to do something about it (not that it’s always a bad thing). Nice people always seem to finish last
.
I also upped my FICO® score by paying off one of my credit cards completely – ugh college does that to you. I know that credit cards are bad but I hardly had any funds by the time my sophomore year arrived so I made that decision (and I didn’t want to worry my mother).
Yes, credit cards are EVIL (money washing down the toilet *flush* flush*). So good news: hello sweet credit report ^.^ and do a dance for one step closer to being debt free.
I ran out of Dunkin Donut Iced Coffee so I hope I can stay up and complete a freelance project that I am working on for these really great friends of Jeff’s that I met a couple weeks ago.
I love programming but for some reason my AS code is f*cking with me (sorry cussing is necessary to get through it sometimes). Hopefully I can get everything done before the weekend is over. I hate breaking my timeline/deadline.
Last night Alex and I went to K-Town in queens with some of my coworkers. It was pretty good. However, I realized that not many people want to go to Queens. So, I missed Johanna’s last night sadly. It’s one of those decisions that you have to make that I felt bad for breaking so I didn’t get to see her
. We planned K town for a few weeks so we couldn’t change the plans. So, I have to plan for Sweden!
I had a pretty long, dragged out week but it was interesting. I had the opportunity to interview people for my company. Most of them were super talented, I think that’s great to see, I love looking at people’s work. I can also see myself working with some of them. I did look to see if they followed up by contacting me during the week as well. I wonder what other interviewers looked for. I think that presentation and showing interest in a job is essential.
Anyways, back to work for me. That was my week.
Trash TV & Such
I avidly watch trash tv. It’s sickeningly entertaining to me because… all work and no play makes me dull and besides some Wii Time, I like me some Maury and yes, Flavor of Love until yesterday. Yah, schadenfreude, I guess. My life gets pretty exciting with random outside drama, and why not check it out on tv instead?
If you’re into that, Flavor chose his baby mama yesterday and I can’t believe I would ever say this, “that was honorable of him.” I did wonder why he had 7 kids and still looking for a woman. His last baby mama wasn’t bad looking either. He proposed to her as well, awwww.
I was watching those 3 seasons and was saying, “Damn, those women are CRAZY,” and even worst Flavor admitted going through like 65 women just to find out that love was right infront of him … eh yah right. So needless to say there won’t be a season 4. I am always in awe at the type of women who went on there and they are obviously there for exposure
.
Alex asked me if I would have considered going on there (if I was single), I told him yes but I guess I would have had to make up some type of excuse to not kiss the dude or have him touch me hahahaha. Nah, I’m kiddin’ I guess I like to be the person outside looking in, so I’d rather not be on tv.

What am I working on (ongoing)? I am brainstorming for a biography of my brother. I think I will make it into a children’s book or something (A month later and I still don’t believe he’s dead). Safe to say I shan’t get over it. Everyone else who has lost their brother (that I got the chance to speak to) still mourns their loss. I wanted to call it the Gilbert Project but that’s already taken.
Also working on (high priority): Some very clever guys website, Erik and Anthony’s, I hope that I get it completed soon. I will be posting the progress on design lady nyc, of course.
Look forward to: LGE websites launching soon, I will be able to add them to my portfolio and show you guys what I have helped on in these past months that I actually worked on
